How to apply for Goethe Institut Examination

Exam registration is a very important thing for every student, who wants to appear for Goethe Institut/ Max Mueller Bhavan exam and to get a German language certificate for further studies in Germany or spouse visa, or for any other purpose.

The new method of filling the examination is really easy. In this blog we will discuss, how can you fill Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, for any exam center, without any hassle, in a systematic manner.

Step 1: Know the important date

You must know 3 important dates before you should register yourself for the Goethe Institut Exam.

Step 2: Create an account

You need to create an account with your E-Mail ID. In order to create an account, click here: meingoethe.de

Creating an account is really easy. Just click on Register and follow the instructions. Make sure, you write your Name, date of place, and date of birth carefully and correctly, as the same information will be on your certificate.

Click on Register

Enter your E-Mail-Address, give a password and select your country.

Important: The same account will be used for all the Goethe Institut examinations in India as well as outside India.

Step 3: Book an examination

Once the account is created, book an examination and pay the fee online. You can see the examination by clicking here.

The fee can be either paid by a debit card or credit card. International banking service must be on these cards, only then the fee will be paid.

Step 4: Getting the admit card

Once the account is created and the fee is paid, you will receive your admit card with a unique PTN (participation number) within a few days of paying the fee.

Step 3: Writing an examination

On the exam date, go to the examination center and write the examination. You need to take the following documents to the examination center:

1. Admit card
2. Passport or Aadhar card
3. Declaration form (This form will be mailed to you by the Goethe Institut)

Examination fee:

• A1/A2: Rs 7600

• B1/B2: Rs 16400 or Rs 4100 per Module

• C1: Rs 12400 or Rs 3800 per Module

• C2: Rs 20800 or Rs 5200 per Module
